The Lydian String Quartet Joins the Roster of Da Capo Management!
Winners of the Naumberg Award for chamber music, the Lydian String Quartet has demonstrated “a precision and involvement marking them as among the world's best quartets” (Chicago Sun-Times). Since its formation in 1980, the Lydians offer compelling, superbly integrated, and marvelously elegant performances of the quartet literature. Through concerts, recordings, workshops, lectures, and masterclasses, they bring the span of two-and-a-half centuries of music to life. The Lydians have recorded twenty albums with of music ranging from Schubert and Brahms through Hyla, Boykan, Ornstein, Persichetti, and Wyner. Their latest recording of the first four string quartets of John Harbison was the recipient of a Copland Fund grant and was released by Centaur in 2009. The members of the Lydian String Quartet are on the faculty of Brandeis University, in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Russian Cellist Dmitry Volkov Joins the Roster of Da Capo Management!
Winner of the 2009 Carlos Prieto International Cello Competition, 23-year-old cellist Dmitry Volkov performs solo concerts across the Globe. Having graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the studio of Natalia Shakhovskaya in 2011, he is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma at the Peabody Institute of Music in the studio of Amit Peled. Born in Togliatti, Russia, Mr. Volkov has performed as a soloist with the National Symphony of Mexico, the Youth Orchestras of the Americas, the Samara Symphony (Russia), the Togliatti Symphony (Russia) and the Naberezhnye Chelny Symphony (Russia), in addition to solo concerts at the Abramson Recital Hall (Washington DC), The International Holland Music Sessions (Bergen, Norway), the W.M.P Concert Hall Series “Strad for Lunch” (New York), and the Miguel Bernal Jiménez International Music Festival (Mexico).

Da Capo Management Expands Global Representation With Asian Composer Jean Y. Foo.
Singaporean-born Chinese-American composer Jean Y. Foo (b.1982) maintains an international reputation as a new voice of the 21st century music scene. In the past ten years, her music has been presented at hallmark venues and events across the globe, including the Cairo Opera House, the Beijing Forbidden City Concert Hall, the New York Goethe-Institut, the Singapore Esplanade Recital Hall, the Berlin’s Maertz Musik Festival, the Beijing Contemporary Music Festival, and CNAP Festival. Former mentor John McDonald attests, that "with a pronounced preference for extended technique and the innovative integration of media in her work, a portrait of a striking creative force begins to emerge." A familiar face at festivals and events, Ms. Foo’s inclination and ability to feature interdisciplinary qualities of Western and world cultures in her works have garnered recognition from professionals, the audience, and the media. She continues to collaborate with many first-rate ensembles, artists, and members of leading symphony and Chinese orchestras from around the world.
